-Hand woven coconut frond hat class.

(3 Hours, includes light snack and refreshments)

In this class we will explore advanced weaving techniques, it will require patience and persistence. Hats can last years with minimal care. We must revive our connection to coconuts as there is a destructive pest jeopardizing the future of coconuts on island.

-Weaving coconut frond basket â€‹

 

(1.5 Hours)

Intermediate weaving, I learned this from a sister from Guam. (@barcinas_sisters) You will make a small basket about 6in x 6in, a container not just for objects, but for tradition.

 

 


-Weaving coconut frond flowers 

 

(30 Minutes up to 1 Hour)

Beginner weaving, we will talk story about weaving skills, material, purpose, tradition and anything else that comes up. Easy casual class, practice the hand dexterity of creating with natural material. Friendly to all ages and all skill levels. 

 

 


-Handmade Ti leaf lei class.

(1 Hour)

​Hawaiians like to greet visitors with Lei, also for celebrations, ceremony, or just because you feel like it. Learn this beginner Lei with a material that is abundant all around the island.

-Seasonal flower lei class.

 

(1 Hour)

​Flowers are beautiful and impermanent. Each flower is a breath — here, then gone. We string them not to last, but to remember beauty as it passes.

-Workshops for handmade arts.
